Terms of Use

Budgetfold for iOS · Effective September 22, 2026

These terms govern your use of the Budgetfold app ("the app"), provided by Dean Gergoric ("we"). By creating an account or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

The service

Budgetfold is a household budgeting tool. The free version lets you record income, plan categories, log expenses, and share a budget with people you invite. Budgetfold Plus is an optional subscription that adds bank account linking, automatic expense import, and income detection.

Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age in your country, to create an account.
• You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for everything done with your account.
• Sharing a budget gives the people you invite the ability to see and edit that budget's entries. Invite only people you trust, and cancel an invite code if it was shared by mistake.
• You can delete your account at any time from the Profile tab. Deletion is permanent.

Budgetfold Plus subscription

• Plus is billed through your Apple ID as an auto-renewing subscription, monthly or yearly, at the price shown in the app before you subscribe. Prices may vary by country.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase, or at the end of any free trial. The subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
• You manage and cancel the subscription in your Apple ID settings (Settings › your name › Subscriptions). We cannot cancel it for you and Apple handles refunds under its own policies.
• One Plus subscription covers every member of the budgets you own. Each member links only their own bank accounts and cannot see or manage anyone else's.
• We may change Plus pricing or features with notice. Price changes take effect at your next renewal and Apple will ask you to confirm them where required.

Bank linking

• Bank connections are provided through Plaid Inc. When you link an account you also agree to the Plaid End User Privacy Policy. We never see or store your bank login.
• Imported transactions are shown as reported by your bank. We do not move money, initiate payments, or provide financial advice. Check important figures against your bank.
• You can unlink an account at any time from the Accounts screen. Unlinking stops new imports; previously imported entries stay in your budget until you delete them.

Acceptable use

Do not use the app to store content you have no right to, attempt to access other people's budgets or accounts, interfere with the service, or reverse engineer it except where the law allows.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep the app available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update, change, or discontinue features. If we discontinue Plus we will stop charging for it.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for financial decisions you make based on information in the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Privacy

How we handle your data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
