Privacy Policy
Budgetfold (formerly Budget FB26) for iOS · Effective September 3, 2026
This policy explains what information Budgetfold ("the app", "we") collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. The short version: we store only what is needed to run a shared budget, we do not show ads, and we do not sell or share your data with third parties for their own purposes.
Information we collect
- Account information. When you create an account we store your email address, a display name, and a unique user ID. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive the name and email address those services share with us (Apple lets you hide your real email; in that case we receive a private relay address).
- Budget data. The income entries, budget categories, expenses, dates, and notes you enter, plus the month each budget belongs to.
- Sharing data. When you create an invite code for a budget we store the code, who created it, and when it expires. When someone joins a budget, the budget's members can see each other's display name and email address.
We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, device identifiers for advertising, or any bank or card information. The app does not connect to financial institutions.
How we use it
- To sign you in and keep your budgets synced across your devices.
- To share a budget with the people you invite and show who added each entry.
- To respond to support requests you send us.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or tracking across other apps and websites.
Where your data is stored
Data is stored in Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore), operated by Google LLC, on our behalf. Google processes this data under its Firebase privacy terms. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and protected by access rules so that only members of a budget can read it.
Who can see your data
Only you and the members of budgets you belong to can see that budget's contents. We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties, except for the service provider above and when required by law.
Your choices and rights
- Edit. You can change your display name and any budget entry inside the app.
- Leave a budget. A budget owner can remove members at any time.
- Delete your account. Open the Profile tab and choose Delete Account. This permanently deletes your profile, every budget you own, your membership in shared budgets, and your sign-in credentials. If you signed in with Apple, we also revoke the Apple token. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
- Ask us. Email dgergoric2@gmail.com to request a copy of your data or ask questions.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date above and, for significant changes, note it inside the app.
Security
Our Information Security Policy describes how data is protected.
Terms
Use of the app is also governed by our Terms of Use.
